I like to write about food in Cornwall. It’s a subject I’m enormously enthusiastic about, even if it’s just a ruse to get to devour and savour as much of Cornwall’s delicious produce as I can get my greedy mouth round.
Besides, Cornwall has become a real food destination in the past few years. It’s a county awash with an astonishing array of fantastic produce and food producers…and after London, Cornwall is the 2nd best place to eat.
Beyond The Pasty… therefore was my Cornish food blog. I wanted to take myself on a food journey seeking Cornwall’s nook crannies for great food and possibly one day walking the coast path to explore all the nibbled edges. Maybe later….
Beyond the Pasty… aimed to show that there is much more to food in Cornwall than their famous pasties and clotted cream. It’s also prepared to look beyond its own borders at great food over the Tamar.
And to whet your appetite a little, here are some recipes which showcase what local chefs do with some of the fantastic range of fresh, local ingredients on offer.
